Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET)
In patients who are undergoing IVF or ICSI procedure, if they have excess embryos, these embryos can be frozen. Frozen embryo transfer is a technique whereby these frozen embryos can be transferred into the uterus of a woman without her having to undergo the whole IVF/ICSI procedure. FET can be carried out for couples who did not conceive during the fresh IVF/ICSI cycle or in a couple who successfully conceived during the fresh IVF/ICSI cycle and want to have another child using the frozen embryos. Embryo thawing procedure is done under controlled conditions.
