Joint Commission International (JCI)
Mahkota Medical Centre (MMC) is the first JCI-accredited hospital in Melaka since 2020. MMC has been re-accredited for another 3 years, from 2023 to 2026 by JCI, the gold standard for healthcare quality and patient safety. This esteemed recognition has been achieved following a thorough and demanding evaluation of the facility’s performance while also meeting stringent requirements for patient safety and quality of care. The JCI accreditation is an attestation to the high standards of medical care within Mahkota Medical Centre, providing patients with the assurance that they will receive exceptional medical treatment.
JCI Clinical Care Programme Certification (CCPC) for Breast Cancer
Mahkota Medical Centre is the first hospital in Malaysia to be awarded the CCPC from JCI for Breast Cancer. This prestigious certification recognises the hospital’s outstanding care provided to patients with breast cancer, and the commitment to meeting high standards of compliance and safety. The CCPC serves as evidence that Mahkota Medical Centre offers a practical, evidence-based, and holistic approach to the diagnosis, treatment, care, and support of breast cancer patients.
Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) Accreditation – 6th Edition
Mahkota Medical Centre successfully received another full four-year accreditation for MSQH 6th Edition in 2022. MSQH is dedicated to improving the quality of the nation’s health care through voluntary accreditation. The Malaysian Hospital Accreditation Standards are intended to stimulate continuous, systematic improvement in an organisation’s performance and the outcomes of care. Granted the full 4 years of MSQH accreditation since 2014 .
MS ISO 15189 Accreditation
The Department of Standards Malaysia (STANDARD MALAYSIA) has granted MMC laboratory a three (3) year accreditation in the fields of Medical Testing: Chemical Pathology and Haematology; namely MS ISO 15189 “Medical Laboratories – Particular requirements for Quality and Competence”. Granted the MS ISO 15189 accreditation since 2011.

2015 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Medical Tourism Hospital of the Year
Frost & Sullivan awarded Mahkota Medical Centre with the 2015 Malaysia Excellence Awards for the Medical Tourism Hospital of the Year.
